Our eco-responsible commitment
The staff and management of Domaine des Escaunes do everything possible to respect nature and the environment. Discover our different actions:
- Sorting waste: plastic, glass, newspapers, biowaste, composting, occasional waste (batteries, light bulbs, toner, etc.).
- Gas boiler with condensation
- Hot water for the kitchen: tank with heat pump
- Reversible air conditioning in the bedrooms with heat pumps
- Hot water production in the annex building (5 bedrooms) with solar panels
- Limiting water consumption in the bedrooms by water savers (aerators)
- Lighting with LED bulbs.
- We use eco-friendly and/or organic cleaning products
- The estate has electrical terminals for charging hybrid or 100% electric cars
- Our breakfast products come from our local producers or short supply chains: eggs, cheeses, jams, honey, granolas, juices, fruits, etc.
- Our chef cooks dishes with our own fruit harvest: figs, cherries, apples, nuts, etc.
- Our gardener maintains a vegetable garden for herbs (mint, coriander, parsley, sage, basil, thyme, etc.) and some vegetables (cherry tomatoes, radishes, cucumbers, tomatoes, salads, etc.)
- Meat, fish, vegetables and fruits come as often as possible from producers around our estate or short supply chains.
